(Clery Timely Warning)
Type of Offense: Motor Vehicle Theft
Today’s Date: 2/9/2026
Date and Time of Occurrence: Between 1/14/2026 and 2/7/2026, there have been 6 E-bike thefts and 1 E-Scooter theft that were reported to UAPD on multiple dates and times.
Location: University of Arizona – Main Campus – Various locations on Main Campus
Reporting Agency: University of Arizona Police Department Case numbers: 2601140008, 2601150006, 2601300004, 2602030003, 26602060013, 2602060015, and 2602070001.
Synopsis of Crime or Offense: In the last four weeks (1/14/2026 -2/7/2026) the University of Arizona Police Department received 7 reports from individuals saying their E-vehicles have been stolen from various locations around campus.
Injuries: No injuries have happened due to this.
Suspect Description: Only 2602070001 has suspect information: young white male with blonde hair wearing a red University of Arizona jersey. There is no indication that this male is also responsible for the other thefts.
Status: UAPD has increased patrols around hot spots and residence halls in an effort to mitigate E-vehicle thefts.
Definition: Motor Vehicle Theft: The theft or attempted theft of a motor vehicle.

UAPD would like to remind the campus community about the following safety tips:
- Keep a copy of your E-vehicle serial number and register your E-vehicle with Parking and Transportation https://parking.arizona.edu/alt-transportation/bicycles
- Utilize the free Bike Valet parking on the mall or at the Health Sciences Innovation Building
- Park and secure E-vehicles in approved locations
- Secure E-vehicles with a durable locking device
- Park in well-lit areas
If possible, attach GPS device in an inconspicuous location on your E-vehicle that gives a location to your mobile device
- If you see suspicious activity in the parking lots, near bike racks, or around campus call 9-1-1 or use theSafeCats App
