Lieutenant Steven Mendoza started his career with The University of Arizona Police Department in February, 2004. He is a graduate of the Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Training Center’s Peace Officer Certification Program. During Lt. Mendoza’s tenure he has served in the Field Operations Division as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Detective, Corporal and Sergeant. Lieutenant Mendoza is a member of the Joint Terrorist Task Force and serves as a Terrorist Liaison Officer to the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center. On February 4th 2019, Lieutenant Mendoza was promoted to his present rank and serves as a Lieutenant with the Field Operations Division.
