Sgt. Martin Ramirez has been employed with the University of Arizona Police Department since 1993. In addition to his service as Patrol Officer, Corporal and Bike Unit Coordinator, he was assigned to the Arizona Department of Public Safety State Gang Task Force for four and a half years as a Gang Detective, and served as part of the UAPD Detective Unit for eight and a half years. Ramirez was promoted to Sergeant in January of 2012. Prior service includes two and half years at Pima Community College Police Department as Patrol Officer, and three and half years as Special Projects Corrections Officer at Arizona State Prison Complex-Florence.
