Tumamoc Hill – 1675 W. Anklam Road
***UPDATE – July 23, 2021***

TUCSON, Arizona – On July 21, 2021, at 7:10 p.m., The University of Arizona Police Department (UAPD) responded to Tumamoc Hill at 1675 W. Anklam Road regarding a report of human remains found by an unrelated person near the top of the hill.

Officers from UAPD arrived on scene and located the body of a deceased individual in an advanced stage of decomposition. Detectives with UAPD continued the investigation and an autopsy was conducted on July 23, 2021.

A unique tattoo assisted in positively identifying the victim as a 31-year-old White male with no obvious signs of trauma. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
