Seeking Information

The University of Arizona Police Department is seeking to identify the individual(s) who poured a liquid substance (red dye) into the University of Arizona Old Main fountain, during a First Amendment-protected peaceful demonstration held on November 9, 2023, on the University of Arizona Tucson campus. The red dye that was poured into the fountain caused an approximate $1,500 to $6,500 in damages to the fountain. The individual(s) found responsible for this damage could face criminal damage charges.

The University of Arizona Police Department respects the rights of individuals to peacefully exercise their First Amendment rights. Our focus is not on the peaceful protestors, but on those who commit crime.
