This position is open to currently certified AZPOST officers. Successful applicants will be responsible for following up on criminal investigations that include report writing, interviewing, scene and evidence processing, and coordination with the county attorney's office for case prosecution. This position is also subject to an on-call rotation, participation with the regional critical incident team, completing background investigations for new hires, and assisting with dignitary protection.

Salary: As a lateral officer, your pay rate is determined by your experience and may exceed that of entry-level officers. Officer Step One starts at $57,925 annually ($27.85 per hour), with higher pay opportunities based on your years of service and qualifications.

Requirements

Certification from Arizona Peace Officer Standards & Training (AZPOST)
Possession of a current Arizona Type D driver's license upon employment. 
2 years experience working in an Investigations Unit.
Basic Investigations Certification.

Other requirements of those continuing in the process will be: polygraph, medical, psychological, drug testing, and an in-depth background check.
