UAPD To Swear In Their New Canine "Skip"

TUCSON, Arizona – On Friday November 8, 2019, at 11:00 am, The University of Arizona Police Department (UAPD) will officially introduce and “swear in” our newest member, Skip, a 22 month old chocolate Labrador.  Skip came from Custer, Washington, through funding from the Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Foundation (SALEF).

The swearing in ceremony will take place at The University of Arizona Police Department located at 1852 E. 1st St., Tucson, AZ.

Skip was trained by Pacific Coast K-9 and is certified by the National Police Canine Association in explosive detection. Skip’s UAPD handler/partner is Officer Lauren Connell who is a 16-year veteran of UAPD.
