Sgt. Jason Dehmer began working for The University of Arizona Police Department as a student-employee in September of 1992. A short time after being hired, he moved into a Community Service Officer position which allowed him to see what the duties of a police officer entailed. As a result of this up-close exposure he decided to pursue a career in law enforcement. He was hired as a police officer in January, 1995. He promoted to the rank of Corporal in July, 2001 and to his current rank of Sergeant in January, 2012. During his time with the Department he has worked in both patrol and investigations and has served as a Bicycle Officer, Field Training Officer, General Instructor, Driving Instructor, and High-Risk Stop Instructor. Sgt. Dehmer graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
