With the start of a new semester brings an increase in the number of people and activities occurring on campus.  Inattention during this busy time can increase the possibility that members of The University of Arizona community maybe vulnerable to criminal acts.

The University of Arizona Police Department encourages you to adopt an attitude of individual responsibility and awareness, and to utilize good safety practices at all times.  UAPD needs your help in making our community safer.  Listed below are safety tips you should keep in mind, and remember “If You See Something, Say Something” and report suspicious activity to 9-1-1 or call UAPD at 520-621-8273.  You can also report tips to the UAPD tips number, 621-TIPS (8477).   

Sign up for UAlert! UA Alert is a service that allows registered users – including University of Arizona students, faculty and staff – to receive emergency alerts on their cell phones or other mobile devices during a campus emergency.  Here is the link to sign up, http://cert.arizona.edu/ualert/signup.   

Download the LiveSafe app onto your smartphone. LiveSafe is a free mobile safety technology that links the University of Arizona community with University Police. Use LiveSafe to keep safety at your fingerprints.  The app can be downloaded for both Apple and Android products.  The App gives you the ability to share information directly with UAPD, access to emergency information, and digitally walk friends home with SafeWalk.
